Cavalier Rifle and Pistol Club is a private gun club. Membership is granted on an individual basis and capped by the Board of Directors.
How it works
The path from guest to member.
Find a sponsor
Attend a public club event, introduce yourself to the match director and other participants, and find a current member willing to sponsor you.
Get an application
Applications aren't posted online. Your sponsor provides the form, co-signs it, and submits it to the club Secretary.
Annual review
Applications are reviewed once a year, after January. Invitations are typically sent by email in March and April.
Orientation
Invited applicants attend an orientation covering safety and range rules.
Dues & initiation
New members pay club dues and an initiation fee before receiving access to club property.
Full access
Once dues are settled, members have full access to the ranges, campground, and lake.
Where to meet a sponsor
Start at a public match.
Most weekend competitive matches are open to the public. Showing up, meeting the match director, and getting to know regular shooters is the most reliable way to find a sponsor.
